What is Team MAPE?

Team MAPE supports MAPE friendly candidates and legislation. Our issue priorities include: achieving fair compensation for state employees, fixing our broken health care system, preventing outsourcing and privatization of state services and protecting our pension and retirement benefits.

Team MAPE is supported by the MAPE Government Relations Committee and MAPE Political Action Committee. The MAPE GRC and MAPE PAC work hand-in-hand to advance MAPE’s political and legislative strategic priorities. We achieve these goals by assisting the election of MAPE allied candidates and influencing the legislative process through lobbying and grass-roots action.

Each member of Team MAPE assists the cause in their own way:

• Team MAPE members contribute to the MAPE PAC to support candidates that support us.
• Team MAPE members contact their legislators and attend Day on the Hill to lobby for MAPE-friendly legislation.
• Team MAPE members attend town hall meetings and their local precinct caucuses to stand up for state employees.
• Team MAPE members attend Camp Wellstone and other trainings.
• Team MAPE members help persuade their coworkers to get involved in the political process.

Team MAPE is officially a collaborative effort of the MAPE Government Relations and the MAPE Political Action Committee. For campaign finance reasons, the site is paid for by MAPE PAC.
