Team MAPE supports MAPE friendly candidates and legislation. The MAPE PAC has initiated a “Dollar per paycheck” campaign to increase the visibility and impact of political action for Minnesota's professional workforce. Team MAPE strategic goals can only be attained through high profile political action activities.

Your salary increase was earned through political and legislative action.

The 2007 contract agreement increased MAPE members’ compensation by over 6.5%, our most lucrative contract in over a decade. This agreement was accomplished due to the success of Team MAPE electoral and legislative actions.  

  1. In the fall 2006 elections, MAPE PAC endorsed candidates won nearly 75% of their races, establishing supportive majorities in both legislative bodies for the first time in eight years.
  2. During the legislative session, Team MAPE members made nearly 6,000 contacts with their legislators and earned a 3% biennial compensation supplement.
  3. The salary supplement passed by the legislature led directly to the 3.25% biennial increase earned through the negotiations process.
